The I Am Able Wheelchair Build is a corporate social responsibility program that focuses on providing wheelchairs to seniors, veterans and more in your community.
The I Am Able Wheelchair Build program was crafted to help provide wheelchairs to people with mobility challenges, including American veterans. Across the US, over 48 million people sufffer from at least one disability. 35% of those disable are employed. By supporting this effort, your team can help provide a key element to keeping them with an active lifestyle. This team building exercise is create for teaching leadership skills such as organization, delegation and collaboration.
Skills such as organization, delegation, and communication are required for this event. This program is a perfect ally for a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) boost. Research has shown that giving has many upsides compared to receiving. Your organization doesn’t need to be a non-profit or social enterprise to give back to the community.
That's Just Good partners with schools in your community to help show that these teachers are appreciated.
Large, open space – ballroom, conference room, field or parking lot. We recommend 20 sq ft per person for this program.
We recommend events have a min of 10 participants, but we do not set a max. The amount of participants is capped by the venue's capacity.
The average event is 90 minutes, but we can time an event to range from one to three hours. Each event has an hour setup period prior to the start.
Just over 6.8 million community-resident Americans use assistive devices to help them with mobility.
Two-thirds of mobility device users have limitations in one or more of the Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL).
80% of wheelchair users report that their local public transportation system is difficult to use or to get to.
Where is an ideal location for us to host the event? Are we allowed to take pictures and make a video? Can we get the press involved? Can we make this open to the community? How often should we plan events?
